NATURAL SWIMMING POOLS

Six kilometers offshore are the reefs of Maragogi; tours are conducted at low tide and last around two hours. The tours typically include snorkeling masks for exploring the corals and marine life.They can be done by speedboat or catamaran.

Located seven kilometers from the Areias Belas Hotel, Antunes Beach is one of the most popular in Maragogi. Unlike other beaches that tend to be deserted, Antunes offers amenities such as small bars, beach chair and umbrella rentals, and hammocks in the water. It's a great option for enjoying the sea while having food and drinks nearby.

Barra Grande Beach

Among the wonderful beaches of Maragogi, we highlight Barra Grande beach. Located six kilometers from the village of Maragogi and the hotel.

The beach has no commercial infrastructure (bars and restaurants), but perhaps this is its greatest charm: being next to the village's infrastructure, yet feeling like you're lost on a deserted island. Burgalhau Beach

Considered one of the most beautiful in the region, it has packed sand, coconut trees, a clear sea dotted with reefs and mangroves. It is located four kilometers from the village.

With its clear sands, idyllic sea, and gentle waves, Burgalhau shares the same scenery as other beaches in the region, but is considered by some visitors to be one of the best beaches in Maragogi. In addition to the coconut trees and reefs visible at low tide, a river mouth also forms on this beach.
The beach doesn't have much infrastructure, and if you don't intend to use the establishments by the sea, we recommend bringing chairs and umbrellas to sit on.

Japaratinga Beach

Japaratinga is Maragogi's lesser-known neighbor. Japaratinga beach shares the same characteristics as its neighbor: emerald green sea, many coconut trees, and natural pools.

Japaratinga is 10 kilometers from Maragogi, about a 20-minute drive. You can cycle there at low tide, exploring the region's beaches: Bitingui Beach, Barreiras do Boqueirão (with several beachfront restaurants), Boqueirão (more deserted), and Pontal, where the beach meets the Manguaba River.
The interesting thing about walking through Japaratinga is that the routes end up becoming the destinations.And there are several viewpoints to see the beautiful view from above.

São Bento Beach

Saint Benedict It is a place of peace, culture and historical beauty, in the Maragogi region.5 kilometers south of Hotel Areias Belas.

São Bento is a village in Maragogi known for its "bolo de goma," a handmade biscuit made with coconut. It's common to see local children playing, or people searching for shellfish on the beach.
For tourists, the so-called Crôa de São Bento is a place with coral formations and clear waters where you can do excellent diving, and it is not usually crowded.
Despite its simplicity, the place is ideal for those seeking tranquility. Along the shore there are a few restaurants and stretches with few people and no shops.

Manatee Project

An unmissable tour and the Visit to the Project Fish-marine ox, the responsibility of Manatee Association.
The project aims to preserve the life of this aquatic species, which is one of the most endangered, through research, rescues, rehabilitation, and the return of manatees to nature.

The Association is located in the Costa dos Corais Environmental Protection Area in Porto de Pedras (AL). Ecological, sustainable and observational tourism has generated employment and income for the community, which is located 20 kilometers from Maragogi, accessible by ferry from Japaratinga.

Women of Strength

The artisans of the Women of Fibers Association produce handicrafts made from the raw material of the banana tree trunk.

In the Água Fria settlement, area rural In Maragogi, the artisans of the Women of Fibers Association gather to produce handicrafts made from banana tree trunks. They create bags, wallets, placemats, towels, lampshades, and many other decorative and kitchen items. Another wonderful place to discover, about 17 kilometers from the center of Maragogi.

It is necessary to schedule a visit to the Associação Mulheres de Fibra (Women of Fiber Association) at the hotel reception, as the headquarters are not open daily.

Visgueiro Trail

Stunning landscapes, and even a small patch of Atlantic Forest, is where you'll find... Visgueiro Trail, it is only 18 km from Hotel Areias Belas.

The trail's starting point is the Água Fria settlement, where the artisans of the Women of Fibers Association produce handicrafts made from banana tree trunks.
The hike to the Visgueiro Trail is accompanied by a local guide, is 6 km long and takes about 2 hours, with stops for contemplation of the place and a refreshing dip in a natural spring, all within a natural reserve of the Atlantic Forest.
