MARAGOGI

Maragogi is the second most visited city by tourists in Alagoas. It is easily accessible, as it is located between two major capitals, Maceió and Recife. For those arriving by plane, they can choose the airport of either city, as the distance is practically the same, around 130 km, from the airports to the small village of Maragogi.
The city's biggest tourist attraction is its beautiful beaches, with warm water, calm sea, light sand, and dense coconut groves, among which Barra Grande, Burgalhau, Antunes, Ponta de Mangue, Peroba, and São Bento beaches stand out. A trip to the natural pools is a must; 6 kilometers off the coast, in front of the Areias Belas Hotel, lies the famous "galés" (natural pools). This area is located within an Environmental Protection Area (APA), home to coral reefs, the second largest coral reef barrier in the world. For those who enjoy diving, this is a true paradise.
There are several tours to explore the region, by boat, catamaran, or even buggy. For those who enjoy adventure, there's the Visgueiro Trail, an easy trail, about a 2-hour walk, where you'll find a Visgueiro tree that's over 500 years old. In addition to bike tours, which you can borrow at our reception, you can explore the region and get to know the villages even better.
