CHRISTAL GALERIA

Let's go where Arte reaches.

ABOUT THE CRISTAL GALLERY

Christal Art Gallery entered the art market to stand out in the contemporary art scene of Recife and Brazil.

Its headquarters, in the Pina neighborhood of Recife, is a carefully remodeled 1941 mansion designed to have a strong urban presence, integrating the diverse languages of the Arts. With a total area of 300m², the house has two large interconnected spaces that serve as exhibition areas, totaling 130m². From there, an intimate passageway leads to a generous outdoor and landscaped area.

The gallery's programming was designed to reveal and strengthen the careers of local and national artists, aiming to propose institutional and experimental exhibitions in order to create a territorial role where the Arts manifest themselves voluntarily, reaching people in their ways of seeing and operating in the world.

The gallery's concept encompasses the diverse artistic expressions presented from the Visual Arts, including Modern Art and especially Contemporary Art and its multiple facets - painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, installation, performances, digital art, conceptual art.

Furthermore, our collection and exhibitions feature works, artists, movements, and collectives from Urban Art and Popular Art.

With the intention of amplifying voices and highlighting artists outside the mainstream scene, expanding access to and enjoyment of the arts and their varied narratives, Christal Galeria's essential principles are an appreciation for freedom, respect for democracy and free expression, aiming to broaden the repertoire of aesthetic experiences and cultural capital for its audience.

In this sense, it is worth highlighting that Christal Galeria aims to actively collaborate in building a new paradigm for Brazil and the world through the Arts. A world where reducing social exclusion and inequality is a permanent endeavor, and where breaking paradigms and prejudices happens regardless of the agents involved in the relationships we forge.

To achieve this, we will be active collaborators in the cultural and educational development of individuals, working in joint initiatives with civil organizations, social movements, public funding opportunities, and in partnerships with private companies.
